National Technical Honor Society

NTHS promotes honesty, service, and leadership for America’s workforce. NTHS is committed to: rewarding excellence in workforce education, developing self-esteem and personal pride, encouraging students to reach higher levels of achievement, and promoting responsibility, initiative, teamwork, citizenship, and scholarship. Students enrolled in all programs at Jones County Career-Technical Center are eligible to join provided they meet requirements.

Founded in 1984, NTHS is the leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in vocational and technical education.

Over 2,940 high school and postsecondary chapters across the nation and is America’s highest award for excellence in workforce education.

NTHS is recognized by leading corporations as the benchmark of performances and leadership in the workplace.

Mississippi currently has 82 NTHS active chapters with 704 secondary and postsecondary members enrolled, honoring student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.

Membership is by invitation extended only by NTHS chartered schools and colleges. Student candidates must meet local and national membership standards.

Together, we’re making tails wag! The National Technical Honor Society’s second annual pet supplies drive for the Laurel Jones County Animal Rescue League was a success! On April 15, we delivered dog food, cat food, and cleaning supplies. Thank you to all who donated! Let’s keep spreading love to our furry friends!

Hooked on great teamwork! On November 5 after school NTHS met to review two T-shirt color options from the Design Committee and vote for our favorite. We also planned our pet supplies community service project, firmed up details for an upcoming field trip to Meridian, and discussed having a club Christmas party in December
